Prototype shown just about in its final form. More decorative materials to grace the final product.  Now that all the bugs are worked out I am preparing for the first custom run and to build a small inventory.  Check back of for updates on progress.

Oval Lazy Susan for a long or extended table. It's like a conveyor belt for your kitchen table! No more waiting for someone to pass the mashed potatoes. Great for large family dinners at any standard long rectangular or oblong table. Great for extendable tables with leaves as well.  Revamped concept of the classic turntable.

Finally developed a better get up than "that guy on stilts".  Cheap and simple is often more effective than can be imagined.  This build conceived and built within one evening.  Will have to add battery fans to the interior for the summer months!  I'm sure it'll be a crowd pleaser!

Sci-Why Designs moves to the first floor at the Idea Foundry after 2 years on the second. Proud to make this cool 60,000sf facility and community my design studio's home. Made the move from the second floor to the first floor to make way for renovations on the second floor. Rocket ship inherited and much appreciated.

Often requests come in for a scan of an existing part for use with 3D printing.  A few measurements and a little time in CAD is sometimes better suited than a 3D scan due to geometry and tolerances required.

Mendocino motor with ball point pen rotor and laser cut base.  Rotor is magnetically levitated, has 4 solar cells, and is light commutated (solar powered).  Kit based design open sourced for anyone with a laser cutter.

Oval Lazy Susan in its first full embodied prototype.  Rather than a simple turntable, which doesn't reach the ends of a long table, it features an extended conveyor like chain of food trays.  Perfect for the large family get together.  Holds a gallon of milk just dandy.  Pictured is the picnic table that inspired the design.  Really would work on any long or extended table.

As a wee little guy I played around with magic a bit.  I still have all the childhood magic books and kit tricks.  I even put on a nice little show as in the old photo.  Though my act wasn't flawless, I always had fun.  Recently I crossed paths with Magic Nate, a Central Ohio magician (www.themagicnate.com).  I was happy to again put on an old hat.  I assisted in the fabrication of a new stage trick he's putting together.  I highly recommend his shows.

I had a request for a larger than average crochet hook, 28mm to be exact.  This is the first run prototype and it is currently out for review at Kay's Crochet.  This custom crochet hook was designed in SolidWorks and 3D printed in black ABS plastic. I had a rush job come in for a commercial prop.  I was given the specifications two days before the scheduled shoot.  They wanted a custom made model wooden house, which I designed and built in one day to meet their deadline. Considering a typical wooden doll house takes weeks to months, I was happy they wanted a simplistic shell model.  The model house was laser cut and made of 1/8" plywood.
