About Sci-Why Design and Engineering:
Sci-Why Design and Engineering offers rapid prototyping and product development services. No gimmicks or tricks, just a passion for problem solving at an affordable price for individuals and organizations. Odd requests are the norm, from one-off custom productions to prepping for patent and mass manufacture.
Sci-Why Design and Engineering is a one-stop shop for complete design, engineering, and manufacture of custom made products. Our focus is on prototyping with small run manufacture capability. We employ a full suite of engineering software (CAD/CAM) and digital manufacturing equipment, along with traditional hand fabrication methods. 3D printing is available in small batches. Advanced materials such as carbon fiber are also available. Refer to "services" page for all of our capabilities.
Sci-Why Design and Engineering opened its doors in 2012 and is based out of Columbus, Ohio. Sci-Why Design and Engineering is the endeavor of inventor and engineer, Daniel (Danny) Staudt, PE. He attended Cedarville University and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He holds a professional engineering license in the state of Ohio. His interests range from the arts to the sciences, from the quirky to the complex. He is a member of the Idea Foundry (www.ideafoundry.com) and part of the hackerspace / makerspace movement bringing desktop manufacturing to the masses. Previously Danny worked in composite material research & development and as an engineering consultant for the construction industry. As a matter of interest, he has been involved with experimental unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV, aka “drone”) design since 2007. Sci-Why Design and Engineering was created as an inventive outlet for developing his own product line as well as offering his design services to make your potential products a reality.
